On January 11th the City of Bedford held its first comprehensive planning session. This marked the beginning of an endeavor that will continue over the next 6 months. The end result of this effort will be the development of a Comprehensive Plan that will be used as a guide for the City of Bedford for years to come.
The first planning session garnered overwhelming attendance that left the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce conference room with standing room only. Given the high turnout and the desire to comfortably include as many participants as possible the second comprehensive planning session will be held at Oakland City University’s Bedford campus.
Once again I am reaching out to you for your help and asking those with a sincere interest in the future of our city to participate in the final community visioning workshop. The final session will be held on Wednesday, February 10th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Oakland City University Bedford campus located at 405 I Street.
Funding for this project has been provided by a competitive grant through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, which is under the direction of Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman.
If you have questions regarding this planning effort, please contact Debbie Andry at dandry@bedford.in.us or by phone at 279-6555.
